Pay some attention to that man behind the curtain!

As I type this I’m standing in front of our computer set up with the princess in a back carry. I’m rocking from side to side hoping to lull her to sleep and buy me some peace and quiet to write. Man! blogging is not as easy as these mom bloggers make it look! Can I get real with you for a minute? I’ve only been at this for a few weeks and I have to say that it’s down right hard! I mean, I knew making time for something I wanted to do for myself was going to be tough, (just check out my shower record since #2 came along!) but this stuff right here is killer.MommyBloggerMania

I imagined me writing my heart out, maybe with a nice cup of joe in my hand. I know I’m not the only one who thought blogging was this way, even Google thinks that mom bloggers are all laptops and cuddles. Then BAM! I’m plummeting out of my sweet fantasy and landing right in a pile of dirty dishes and diapers!

Oh, thank God she’s napping now. Ah! That’s better… If I were doing this alone, I would have given up by now, I’m sure. The good news is I’m not. Even though you see the things I write and the pictures I post, you only see them because behind this mom blogger is a dad tech support. I say, “honey I want my blog to do this.”, or “honey I saw another blog that does that.” and he can magically make it happen. What’s more he usually has even better ideas! He’s been more than supportive through all of this and I can’t imagine my blog (or my life for that matter!) without him.

Isn’t it amazing what you can accomplish when you have a great support system? And then conversely, you still feel so swamped even in spite of the story sometimes. It’s an interesting journey, this parenthood thing…

I’m new to blogging too- looks like we started about the same time, what are the odds? Just wanted to stop by and say hello 🙂 Also, I see that you had a VBAC with your second and I’m trying desperately to make sure that happens for me come end of May (fingers crossed) so I may annoy you with a barrage of questions one day hahaha!

I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of each other around the blogosphere 😉 Good much with everything!

It sure is an adventure everyday. I’m really excited about your decision to VBAC. Please feel free to ask away! I feel very passionately about this topic and hope to write more in the future regarding it. Best wishes, my friend 🙂

So true! I see the pictures and the “how I make enough to cover the mortgage” posts. It is a lot of work, many unpaid hours and interrupted thoughts!
